Job Description
Job Summary
Control all aspects of the Environmental, Health and Safety, including the ISO 14001 Management System, and training program administrative requirements.
Essential Job Responsibilities
I. EHS Responsibilities
· Complete the EHS reports, graphs, minutes & data entry
· Maintain the ISO 14001 management system administration requirements including inspections, audits (both internal & external) and other submissions
· Complete RCRA requirements
· Coordinate EHS training classes (First-aid, CPR, AED, etc) with EHS Administrator
· Timely completion of Workers’ Compensation reports & responses
· Communicate with local physicians regarding worker’s compensation and new hire medical information
· Conduct and maintain ISO audits, inspections and training
· Assist with all EHS projects and implementing countermeasures
· Maintain departmental presentations related to EHS and ISO activity
II. Training Responsibilities
· Work with department management to develop, track and implement a training program
· Maintain departmental presentations related to training activity
· Maintain all training records in the database.
Additional Job Responsibilities
· Ability to work overtime and/or weekends
· Maintain attendance per KLP policy
· Accompany injured/ill associates to physician/hospital (assist with medical issues)
· Coordinate and maintain Drug Screens
· Maintain first aid supplies and medical vending machine
· Back up EHS Administrator to maintain OSHA Form 300 and post results annually
· Provide HR back-up for associate support.
· Complete TPM assignments/requirements in a timely manner
· Successfully complete cross-training requirements as needed
· Perform other administrative duties as assigned to the satisfaction of the HR, Administration or KLP management

Education/Knowledge
High School Diploma or general equivalent diploma (GED).
Environmental and safety work experience (preferred)
Experience
At least one (1) year, in a manufacturing environment or other related work experience with EHS experience.
Skills
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively use computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Power Point. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and percentages. Ability to establish & maintain an organized work schedule, environment and records.
Communication
Ability to apply good judgement & understanding to carry out written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.

The associate may frequently lift and move about 4 to 8 pounds, and occasionally lift and carry items weighing 20 pounds for a short distance.
Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
Associates are required to work in a typical office environment where the temperature is controlled throughout the year, but may occasionally be warm or cool to individual preferences. Associates are required to work an 8-hour day (not including overtime or other factors affecting the production schedule). Associates are required to wear personal protective equipment, which includes, uniform and safety shoes (when going into the production area - bump cap, safety glasses, earplugs, sleeves and gloves).

Pay: $12.83 - $17.46 per hour
