Job Summary
This key role within the ministry team will deliver the highest level of assistance to the Director of Ministry in the areas of video editing, audio editing, and videography. There will be a wide range of video and audio projects needed to support the ministry in the areas of ministry, marketing, and social media.
Key Responsibilities:
· Ensuring all customer information is effective, customer-friendly and contributes towards generating a consistently good perception of our ministry
· Develop and manage project plans to produce appropriate communications materials (video and audio) for a multitude of distribution channels
· Work well within a team setting to help further the ministry
· Videography
· Manipulating and editing film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience
· Assist Director of Ministry with various marketing initiatives
· Taking a brief to grasp production team's needs and specifications
· Edit film until it meets Director of Ministry's specifications
· Work with and manipulate raw camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics and special effects
· Insert music, sound, or optical effects
· Edit video and audio for sales, social media, and other distribution.
· Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
· Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
· Create rough and final cuts
· Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
· Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry's best practices to maximize efficiency
Skills and Experience:
· Business acumen
· Experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook
· Proven work experience as a video editor
· Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Lightworks, Premiere, Photoshop, audio editing software, After Effects and Final Cut)
· Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
· Image editing
· Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity
· Creative mind and storytelling skills
· Keen eye for detail and a critical mind
· Creativity and a passionate interest in film and video editing
· Patience and concentration
· The ability to listen to others and to work well as part of a team
· Ability to make design and production decisions both independently and as part of a team
· High level of self-motivation, commitment and dedication
