Practice Overview:
BRG’s Economics & Damages practice is consistently growing year over year. With that growth comes new opportunities for people interest in becoming an expert in their field and solving complex litigation and consulting matters. We are looking to add a PhD Economist with a keen interest in addressing real-world applied economics questions, including in the areas of Antitrust, Intellectual Property, Finance, Labor and Employment, and International Arbitration. #ThinkBRG
Job Responsibilities:
This position requires a highly motivated problem solver with robust analytical ability, strong organizational and writing skills, and a desire to collaborate as an integral part of our project teams. The work will involve both execution and oversight of litigation engagement work streams that may be either quantitative or qualitative in nature, with responsibilities to include design of economic, statistical, and financial analysis, modeling of financial data and markets, management of existing client relationships, development and presentation of client deliverables, management of junior staff, quality control, industry research, and expansion of business. This position offers advancement opportunities within a rapidly growing expert services and consulting firm.
Basic Qualifications:
Ph.D. degree in Economics or related subjects;
Minimum of one to three (1-3) years of previous experience in consulting or advisory firm ;
Experience in application of econometric modeling techniques;
Experience in Antitrust, Financial Economics, Securities, Capital Markets is a plus;
Keen interest in economic, statistical, or financial analysis and research;
Strong record of technical expertise through past publications that you have authored;
Proven capability with MS Excel and analytical software/relational database program(s) (e.g., SAS, Stata, MS SQL Server, R, MS Access, SPSS). A desire to expand on those capabilities;
Excellent communication, managerial and analytical skills, as well as leadership skills; and
Candidate must be able to submit verification of their legal right to work in the United States, without company sponsorship.
Salary range: $180,000 to $250,000 per year.
