Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
As a Technical Writer at BillGO, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality documentation that effectively communicates complex technical information to our internal and external stakeholders. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, product managers, and subject matter experts, to gather information and transform it into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation. Your work will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients and employees have the information they need to effectively utilize our Bill Pay solutions.

Develop and maintain documentation for BillGO’s products, including user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, release notes, and troubleshooting guides.
Collaborate closely with software developers, product managers, and subject matter experts to gather information and understand the features, functionalities, and technical aspects of our products.
Organize complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content that is easy to understand for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Conduct research and gather information from various sources, such as code repositories, engineering documents, and interviews with subject matter experts, to ensure accuracy and completeness of the documentation.
Ensure that all documentation adheres to BillGO’s style guide, brand guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Regularly update and maintain existing documentation to reflect product updates, enhancements, and changes.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create product-related content, such as blog posts, whitepapers, and case studies, to support marketing and sales efforts.
Review and edit documentation created by other team members or stakeholders to ensure consistency, clarity, and adherence to documentation standards.
Continuously improve the documentation process by identifying opportunities for automation, standardization, and efficiency gains.
Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in fintech and technical writing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in the fintech industry or related technology field.
Strong understanding of fintech products, APIs, financial terminology, and industry standards.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
Proficiency in documenting software applications, including user guides, API documentation, and technical specifications.
Familiarity with documentation tools and technologies, such as Markdown, Git, JIRA, Confluence, or other content management systems.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously, while adhering to deadlines.
Attention to detail and strong editing skills to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to documentation standards.
Strong organizational and analytical skills to gather information from various sources and transform it into cohesive documentation.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements related to the fintech industry is a plus.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities but is expected to mentor new team members and junior level positions.
