Job Summary
The Accounts Payable Coordinator I is responsible for supporting the pharmacy accounting functions of the company. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid's brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes.
Job Responsibilities
Process pharmacy payouts daily based on payout schedule
Process weekly check run which includes the preparation of electronic check and remittance files, and printing and preparing manual checks
Reconcile all pharmacy payable accounts monthly, process returned checks, void checks
Adhere to SOX internal controls as required
Communicate verbally and in writing with pharmacies in reference to their accounts, research and resolve discrepancies in payments and billing
Accurately file and maintain records after processing and ensure ease of retrieval
Process FWA/suspended files for initial invoicing and recovery
Respond to open ticket inquiries through the OSTracker system as needed
Maintain a positive working relationship with team and other organizational team members for cross functional support
Inform supervisor of escalated and/or potential issues
Other duties as assigned
qualifications
H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Business Preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Required
Able to work with either close supervision or under clearly defined procedures
Exercise good judgment, maintain confidentiality and act in a diplomatic manner
Possess good communication skills and detail oriented perspective
Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, efficiently works under pressures within set deadlines
Ability to work extended hours, weekends and holidays pursuant with industry demands
Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry related software programs
Preferred
Crystal reporting, MS Access and SQL programming knowledge and experience
Knowledgeable with appropriate industry experience, preferably in the healthcare, insurance or pharmacy benefit management (PBM) industry
WORK EXPERIENCE
No prior experience required
1 year of experience in relevant work preferred
