The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Description

We are looking for a lead financial analyst interested in joining the Product Owner function to partner with our Agile team supporting our Global Risk Solutions (GRS) Financial Systems team. This team helps drive enhancements and innovative projects that support the GRS Financial consumers and leaders of Liberty Mutual globally!
Our GRS Finance Enablement team supports business change management and enhancements requests for our SAP ledger and Finance BI (SQL based) systems. In addition to prioritizing enhancements to our existing system infrastructure, we also research and implement new tools and processes to help drive efficiencies in financial business processes. In this role, you will be helping to scope, refine, prioritize, communicate, and implement new processes and applications for our GRS finance users. You will partner with our corporate finance technology partners, business stakeholders and leadership to develop roadmaps with timelines and milestones that leverage Agile methodologies of the Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CICD) pipeline.
Responsibilities:
Possess a fundamental understanding of our end to end customer experience integration and dependencies. Display curiosity in business application of toolset.
Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, business partners and stakeholders. Participate in Agile team’s various ceremonies such as Scrum, Planning, Backlog Grooming and Retro sessions.
Effectively communicate the impact system changes would have on financial statements. Communicate request effort, priority and status across business and IT teams.
Collaborate with partner product owners and business teams to identify ROI and KPIs for new enhancements and technology innovation.
Determine roadmap and key milestones for incremental tests that identify success measure up to delivery date.
Build, groom and prioritize the backlog of requests with other POs on the team, accurately representing the needs of the business/user community.
Provide direction over product team resources, holding agile squads accountable.
Apply knowledge of financial products and systems to support business and IT during testing cycles and when features are being questioned.
Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and determine if further enhancements are necessary to meet acceptance criteria.
Be a power user / highly proficient user of our financial systems, always communicating various features to stakeholders and sharing best practices to support user training. Help to define/document/teach standards and best practices for system usage.
Participate in meetings with key stakeholders to stay in tuned with pain points and requirements that could help alleviate process challenges.
Understand system support for book close and planning deliverable periods where business users are heavily reliant on system features and functionality.
Support various key initiatives knowing they will eventually become part of change management umbrella
Qualifications
Bachelor`s degree in relevant field (Finance, Accouting, Business, Computer Science)
3 years of experience in Finance / Accounting, business, technology, or consulting
Ability to develop strong working relationships and able to influence others and build consensus with supporting data
Experience communicating moderate to complex ideas, issues and designs
Ability to operate with incomplete information and make timely decisions
Problem solver with ability to lead a team
Experimental mindset with demonstrated willingness to learn and experiment
