Description:
We are currently seeking a motivated and tech-savvy individual to join our 4 person Nutrition Services IT team as an Entry-Level IT Support/Data Entry Specialist within the Department of Nutrition Services at Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools (MNPS). This role will play a crucial part in providing technical assistance and support to over 900 users across various school locations. The Metro Schools Nutrition Services team is proud be a reliable source for healthy meals to thousands of students each day. This team provides IT Support and reporting to the district and FDA, who funds the team's operations. This role will play a crucial part in providing technical assistance and support to over 900 users across various school locations. These users can include cafeterias in nutrition/student food reporting, public lunch programs, POS hardware and software troubleshooting,

- Respond to incoming calls, emails, and tickets, providing direct and indirect end-user troubleshooting to resolve technical issues promptly and efficiently. • Handle point-of-sale system troubleshooting, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operations for school cafeterias. • Assist with state reporting and data entry tasks, maintaining accurate records in compliance with relevant regulations. • Collaborating and completing tasks provided by leadership • Work with the IT team to perform software updates and patches, ensuring that all systems are up to date and secure. • Provide remote troubleshooting support to schools, addressing issues with hardware, software, and network connectivity. • Assist in maintaining and supporting various IT resources, such as workstations, printers, and networking equipment. • Communicate effectively with users to provide clear instructions, guidelines, and resolutions to technical problems. • Document and track support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
