A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MEDICAL ASSISTANT
In the role of a Medical Assistant, you provide care for patients at the direction of the doctor or provider by giving them specific office medical treatments. It is essential that you follow patient charts and take patient vitals as well as blood and skin samples. You will also assist the doctor in surgical procedures, dress wounds, maintain nursing supplies and triage, and sterilize equipment.
A Medical Assistant completes insurance forms and medical histories, submits medical billing forms, handles appointment scheduling, and ensures patients are greeted with care. Being able to communicate and listen effectively on the phone and in person on a day-to-day basis is necessary and vital for accurate patient treatment and care. We expect the Medical Assistant to demonstrate excellent patient satisfaction and have a commitment to provide a professional, pleasant, and consistent patient experience.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 1 to 3 years of clinical experience
Graduate of accredited Medical Assistants program
State licensure and/or certification
CPR Certification
REQUIREMENTS FOR A MEDICAL ASSISTANT
- Flexibility and adaptability to changes as needed in job duties
- Respond calmly in crisis management to make the best decisions
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration on equipment

WORK SCHEDULE FOR A MEDCIAL ASSISTANT
This full-time position is onsite and typically works from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
