Job Description:
TSC is seeking an entry level Radar Systems Engineer to support a team in the design, test and evaluation for surface Navy radar systems. In this position the engineer will help a team assess, test, evaluate, and report on test findings for the Navy Air, Surface and Missile Defense Radar. This role will have regular and frequent interaction with US Government customers and responsibilities will include both programmatic and test and evaluation tasking. Primary tasking includes system assessment and analysis supporting systems design and Test and Evaluation (T&E).
In this position the candidate will work in a support and development role under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Primary focus will be on Systems Design review and assessment supporting the Program Executive Office for Integrated Weapon Systems Above Water Sensors (PEO IWS 2). Some expected reimbursed travel will be to Navy facilities around the Washington, DC area, radar developer contractor sites as well as various Navy land-based radar test sites and/or Navy shipyards. Strong written and oral communication desired for daily interactions and presentation duties. Assigned tasking will be at both individual and team levels.
Qualifications:
0-2 years of experience in relevant systems design or engineering techniques
BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Math, Computer Engineering
Knowledge of radar principles and electromagnetic theory
Willingness to work on blend of technical and programmatic tasks
Strong written and oral communication skills
Willingness to travel to support Navy radar meetings and test events
U.S. Citizenship required. Applicants selected will be subject to a Government Security Investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with radar system architectures, phased arrays, and radar a significant plus
Experience with integration and operational testing of military/radar systems
Experience with modeling and plotting in MatLab or similar analysis tools
Experience with SW programming languages

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $60,000-$70,000. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
