Potential Hybrid Position
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, provides a variety of specialized services, including providing support and recommendations to recruiters and departments regarding job classifications, job offers, and salary levels. Assists with collecting, analyzing, and maintaining market data to ensure wage and salary programs are consistent with organizational goals. Assists with responses to salary surveys and evaluating jobs. Consults with senior member(s) of compensation team on a regular basis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs salary calculations for new hires and existing employees.
Assists recruiters with job offers to new employees by reviewing internal equity.
Produces regular employee reports to assist recruiters with evaluating equity when making job offers.
Reviews requests for reclassification and makes recommendations to department leaders.
Assists with calculating new pay rates for employees in cases of promotion, demotion, and job reclassifications.
Assists departments with reviewing equity among employees and calculating adjustment costs as needed.
Assists other members of the compensation team with market analysis, calculation of market adjustment costs, and processing of market adjustments.
Assists with preparation of market adjustment data for presentation to leaders in the organization.
Assists with processing approved market adjustments, including communication to leaders.
Updates grade and/or position changes in HR system(s).
Assists with market reviews on a regular basis.
Assists with evaluating salary range and FLSA status for new positions.
Researches market data to effectively assign salary ranges to new job titles.
Consults with other members of the compensation team to assign appropriate survey matches to new job titles in Market Pay.
Reviews related jobs within the organization to ensure internal equity.
Evaluates job responsibilities to determine FLSA status per Department of Labor guidelines.
For new titles, creates job codes and position records in HR system.
Ensures market survey matches are up-to-date, and assists with salary surveys to ensure market competitiveness.
Reviews survey matches for positions to ensure they are up-to-date and appropriate; recommends revisions as needed.
Determines appropriate survey matches for new and existing positions.
Ensures survey matches are entered into compensation database for new positions.
Responds to market surveys as assigned.
Assists with determining which surveys are best to participate in and how often.
Performs other tasks as assigned, including but not limited to:
Assists with processing leader incentives such as LAIP (Leader Annual Incentive Plan)
Assists with processing staff incentives such as Sharing in Success or similar programs.
Assists with merit increase process for staff. Assists with other special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field. Two (2) years of relevant experience in Human Resources or related field. Advanced Excel skills required.
Must be flexible, assertive, persuasive, organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, perceptive, and possess excellent listening skills. Must be able to: (1) communicate effectively with individuals from all socio-economic backgrounds; (2) make evaluations or decisions based on appropriate judgmental criteria; (3) perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure; (4) deal effectively with individuals who are angry or upset; (5) work quickly without producing error; (6) perform mathematical operations, standard statistical measurements, and cost analysis rapidly and accurately; (7) analyze, interpret and display statistical data; (8) respect and preserve the confidential data to which this position has access. Must have knowledge of applicable laws and regulations and be proficient with computers, including Microsoft Office programs.
Preferred:
Compensation experience in a health care setting.
CERTIFICATES/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS ETC.
Preferred:
PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP and/or CCP certification
