Clinical Medical Assistant/Medical Records Representative
Our progressive gastroenterology practice in the Columbus, Georgia area has a full-time opening for a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant/Medical Records representative with at least two years of medical office experience. Come work with our qualified, experienced and caring professionals who put their patients first and have their patients’ health and satisfaction as their highest priorities.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): patient initial encounters, physician support, returning patient calls and documentation in the EMR, initiating and maintaining health records and all patient health information, responding to requests for health records, and performing clerical duties. They will apply the appropriate diagnostic and procedure codes to individual patient health information for data retrieval and analysis and claims processing, and compile, verify and assemble patient records with a legal responsibility to safeguard these documents when in our custody.
The successful candidate will be a team player and flexible with job assignments as they will be responsible for working with Medical Records in the morning and as a Medical Assistant in the clinic in the afternoon. They must also be able to multi-task, be dependable and have an excellent job attendance record. The candidate should enjoy working with patients and will demonstrate strong customer service skills. They must also be professional in appearance and have excellent computer, written and verbal communication skills.

Job Requirements
· Two (2) years of medical office MA experience
· CMA license for Georgia
