Imagen’s Payroll & Tax Assistant role is responsible for accurate and timely state tax filings for legal entities enterprise wide, as well as ensuring the systems are set up to effectively manage multiple entities operating in jurisdictions across the US.
You will maintain a record of all states where we operate or employ, and you will work with each state to ensure we have the appropriate entities set up for state and local tax and unemployment purposes.
You will research and resolve tax notices from the various states.
You will assist in filing zero filings for entities that are active but not employing.
You will work with our payroll provider UKG to ensure all entities are appropriately set up, and filings are timely and accurate.
On payroll weeks, you will routinely audit the biweekly and semi-monthly payrolls against our activity log to support our goal of 99.9% accuracy.
You will perform routine data entry, as needed, related to payroll data and compliance.
You will provide best-in-class customer service to all internal team members.

Qualifications:

Bachelors preferred
A minimum of 3 years of payroll tax experience, including experience ensuring adherence to the various state and federal tax entities
Experience with UKG a plus
Intermediate skills with Excel
Ability to work independently and within remote teams on video meeting platforms
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle and prioritize a heavy workload effectively, meeting deadlines as needed.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a good command of the English language.
Strong attention to detail, problem solver, thinks outside the box, and is adaptive and flexible.
