JOB SUMMARY:

To help take our mission to the next level, we are seeking an energetic, business-savvy, technically-grounded new team member to join the ACC family as an Environmental Professional Engineer/Geologist/Project Manager!
Environmental Professionals in this role will support the organization through the development, review, and execution of new and existing technical projects to achieve overall client goals. This position requires a candidate who has a high degree of self-direction, can positively impact the business as both a team member and professional, is comfortable wearing multiple hats in an entrepreneurial environment, and who showcases a relentless desire to champion our clients and their needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Full technical responsibility to interpret, organize, coordinate, and execute environmental projects within regulatory framework
- Plan and develop projects concerned with unique problems within the environmental field including coal combustion residual (CCR), federal, and solid/hazardous waste sites
- Serve as a liaison between clients, key engineers, and geologists within or outside of ACC, with responsibility for independent decision-making on technical matters
- Collaborate with technicians, scientists, CAD technicians and designers to achieve project goals
- Development of scope, budget, and schedule for technical projects
- Lead client and regulatory meetings
- Pursue new work with current and future clients
- Provide direction on key objectives and complex problems
EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant geologic/environmental field – REQUIRED
- Advanced degree in relevant geologic/environmental field – ENCOURAGED
- Registered as a Professional Engineer or Geologist in state of practice
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ten (10) years or more of environmental consulting experience in planning, coordinating, performing, and directing multiple large and/or complex field investigation and studies (site characterization, contaminant assessment and remediation, monitoring network/program design, corrective action assessment, groundwater modeling, etc.)
- Experience implementing monitoring, assessment, and remediation projects in accordance with GA EPD Solid Waste Management Rule 391-3-4, EPA CCR Rule 40 CFR Part 257, etc.
- Experience with numerical analysis, hydrogeology, groundwater flow, and water quality
- Experience reviewing complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance
- Familiarity with various visualization and modeling tools (CAD, GIS, Modflow, etc.)
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to a flexible project schedule
- Member of associated professional practice organization such as SWANA, NWRA, NGWA, etc.
- OSHA and/or HAZWOPER Safety Training - 40 Hours
- Clean driving record
- Additional duties may be assigned as necessary

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor settings (i.e., landfills, industrial facilities, undeveloped properties, etc.) Environmental factors are subject to change without notice on occasion.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:
This position may require standing, bending, kneeling, and sitting for continuous periods of time longer than thirty minutes. Physical strength and agility must be sufficient to permit the employee to complete job requirements. TRAVEL:
Occasional US travel may be required for up to 10% percent of the time.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $53,337.75 - $107,891.96 per year
