CUMULUS MEDIA | INDIANAPOLIS is looking for an experienced Promotions Director with a track record of success to join our incredible team. Cumulus Media | Indianapolis features six radio stations (Country WFMS-FM, Classic Hits WJJK-FM, Active Rock WNDX-FM, Hot AC WNTR-FM, Sports WXNT-AM and CHR WZPL-FM) reaching well over a million listeners weekly. Key Responsibilities:
Manage the promotions and marketing activities, contests, campaigns and events for all stations
Collaborate with multiple departments to create and execute promotions such as contests, remotes, events, van hits and other station-specific activities from start to finish
Manage team of part-time promotions assistants and effectively delegate departmental tasks to team members
Coordinate and attend client meetings with sellers and sales managers as needed to plan events and event logistics
Collaborate with sales team to brainstorm ideas and deliver successful promotional campaigns for our advertisers
Communicate thoroughly and professionally with respect, diplomacy and patience
Drive promotional vehicles and coordinate vehicle maintenance with engineering team
Perform basic office administrative functions
Prepare contest rules, waivers and release forms for on-air, digital, social media and other contests
Responsible for all winner prize fulfillment and release forms
Manage prize inventory, schedule on-air contests and assign prizes for remotes and events
Coordinate and oversee logistics for on-site appearances, remotes and events
Conduct on-site promotions, working with clients and greeting listeners
Set up and run audio and other type of equipment; hangs banners and other staging elements at remotes and events
Record events (photos, videos, audio) for station website and social media use
Set up, break down and transport promotion event equipment as required
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
Three years of successful experience in promotions/marketing preferred
Savvy computer skills and proficiency with standard office software, experience with vPromotions preferred
Skilled with social media platforms
Ability to effectively multi-task and the discipline to focus on what is the highest and best use of your time
High standard of work, superior organizational skills and relentless attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Creative thinker and strategic problem solver
Idea generator and creative ability to turn average ideas into incredible promotions
Leads by example and can work well with peers in a collaborative team environment
Should be able to lift 50-pound objects and have ability to stand for multiple hours
On-air experience a plus
Well-versed on FCC rules and regulations
