This position will support the lending function by analyzing financial information and preparing loan presentations to be reviewed for loan approvals.

Our Credit Analysts work primarily as support personnel for our lending division through spreading and analyzing financial statement and tax return data. Will prepare business and individual financial statement spreadsheets and cash flow statements and develop and maintain specialized spread sheets and templates. Occasional customer contact to obtain financial information. Performs other duties as requested by Credit Analysis Manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- College Degree required, preferably with emphasis in finance or accounting.
- Fundamental understanding of basic accounting and financial ratios
- Detailed understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Analyze credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
- Generate financial ratios, using computer programs, to evaluate customers' financial status.
- Prepare reports that include the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
- Complete credit analyses and summaries of loan requests, and submit to loan committees for approval.
- Compare liquidity, profitability, and credit histories of establishments being evaluated with those of similar establishments in the same industries and geographic locations.
- Analyze financial data such as income growth, quality of management, and market share to determine expected profitability of loans.
- Evaluate customer records and recommend payment plans based on earnings, savings data, payment history, and purchase activity.
This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
