The HR Generalist is responsible for researching, developing, and implementing effective full-cycle recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. This position champions culture, drives business outcomes, and plays an integral part in the development of the Gallegos team.

The HR Generalist assists in the employee life cycle from recruiting to separation with an emphasis on applicant tracking, hiring, regulatory compliance, employee retention, and terminations.
Responsibilities include:
Works with leaders to create and post job requisitions for open positions.
Reviews & prescreens applicants for qualifications & recommends qualified candidates to hiring leaders.
Coordinates face-to-face and video interviews with hiring leaders and teams.
Coordinates participation in job fairs.
Provides information regarding the company, benefits, & job opportunities to potential applicants.
Completes pre-employment stages including reference checks for all candidates.
Prepares and manages employment offers & onboarding processes including employment documents and education to new hires during onboarding.
Assists CHRO with H2B visa process and coordinates employment with applicants and leaders.
Maintains applicant database and files according to corporate, state, and federal regulations.
Assists CHRO with training programs and competency tracking.
Process employee separation notices and coordinates employee exit with payroll
Assists with drug, alcohol, auto/DMV, and background screening processes and communicates timely with necessary individuals, both internal and external.
Models the Gallegos values and mission.
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Job Requirements include:
Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources experience and/or experience in full-cycle recruitment, preferably in the construction industry
ATS experience
Capable of maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in difficult situations
Must have a valid driver’s license
Experience with Immigration and visa-based hiring, H2B program, preferred
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish languages required
Certification HRCI or SHRM preferred
MS Office suite, SharePoint, and ADP or similar HRIS platform
