Job Description
Our office performs medical and audiology evaluations for veterans. Seeking a part time Medical Assistant (MA) who can do front office and back office duties. The applicant must have a flexible schedule, have typing and computer abilities, outstanding customer and communication skills, training and is comfortable doing Blood draws. As we are VA regulated all employees must be fully vaccinated against Covid19.
ONLY APPLICANTS WHO COMPLETE THE INDEED ASSESSMENTS WILL BE CONSIDERED. REFERENCES WILL BE CHECKED.
Requirements:
· Strong customer service and communication skills
· Must take an online typing test and pass with 30+ words per minute
· Flexibility and ability to maintain calm even though responsibilities may change from day to day
· Ability to use google email interface
· Computer skills and be comfortable working with a practice management system (Office Ally)
· Proficiency using cloud storage, such as Google Drive
· Ability to multi-task
. Perform PFTs and EKGs
. Perform blood draws
· Pleasant, team player, considerate of others
· Dependable and on-time
. Covid19 vaccinated
General Office Duties:
· Answer incoming phones
· Schedule appointments
· Input veteran demographics
· Input charges and create invoices
· Greet veterans as they arrive
· Explain office process to veterans
· Check out veterans as they leave the office
· Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the office
· Conduct in-person and telephonic history intake
