What You Will Do:
Join our talented and compassionate team of Certified Medical Assistants who provide patient care under the direct supervision of our providers.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Performs medical assistant procedures assists the providers with patients, including preparing patients and the examination rooms, taking initial medical history for the chart, taking vital signs, and explaining the process to the patients
Undertake front office and clerical duties such as assisting patients with paperwork, verifying patient demographics and insurance benefits, and performing billing and bookkeeping functions
Assist provider in all special procedures, including minor surgery, as required
Gives instructions to patients as instructed by provider
Assists with any procedures that have been taught through formal training or by provider
Keeps medical records in accordance with procedures and forms
Follows HIPAA guidelines for patient confidentiality and follows principles of medical ethics for medical assistant
Keeps rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, washes and dries instruments used, and prepares sterilization as required
Clean wounds, draws labs, electrocardiograms and applies dressings and splints as directed by provider
Assists patients any time need is apparent or as directed by supervisory staff
Assists in lab procedures under the supervision of provider and for which training has been given. Other duties may consist of notifying patients of lab results, giving vaccines, immunizations and medications prescribed by the doctor; lab work consisting of throat cultures, hematocrits, and urinalysis
Responsible for proper handling and storage of all medications stored in the office
Performs other admin related duties as assigned

Must Haves:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Medical Assisting certificate
Certified Medical Assistant OR willingness and eligibility to become Certified within 90 days of hire
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional medical environment
Full-time schedule, 4 days per week between Mon-Sun
Schedule: 7:45am-8pm
Rotating weekends and holidays
Requires traveling to all clinic locations within Region
May require traveling to other locations outside Region during training
May require overtime depending upon patient volume and clinic needs
