Job Description
Our primary care clinic in Clayton is searching for a qualified and motivated certified CMA/ RMA or LPN to join our team. A minimum of 2 years experience in a primary care setting is preferred . Familiarity with computers is imperative. The ideal candidate will be diligent, flexible and able to work well in a team environment.
The medical assistant will support multiple physicians as needed and collaborate with the nursing team to support practice-wide health initiatives. Daily responsibilities fall into 3 key areas: rooming patients, performing in-office tests, and managing patient communications. These functions include:
- Checking vitals;
- Reviewing and updating allergies and medications;
- Updating chief complaints;
- Performing EKGs, PFTs, flu and strep throat tests, urine tests, and others;
- Administering injections as appropriate;
- Attending to refill requests, patient forms, and other patient-related documentation;
- Communicating with patients by phone and/or via the patient portal;
- Coordinating referrals based on office procedures.
