Job Description
Position Summary:
A dynamic and self-motivated Order Entry Specialist who will be responsible for data entry of orders into the company ERP accounting system. This position assists with complaints, orders, errors, account questions, billing, cancellations, and other queries. The candidate must have experience in handling large accounts and a fast- paced environment.
Duties and responsibilities:
· Process orders from emails, facsimile, or phone calls into the ERP accounting software.
· Manage open orders from order entry through billing, collaborating with manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, and other departments as needed.
· Follow operating procedures to assist with account questions, complaints, claims, change orders, cancellations, and other queries.
· Resolve customer complaints via phone, email, or mail.
· Attract potential customers by answering product and service questions, suggesting information and products or services.
· Initiate callbacks to and follow up with customers in the event of backorders and other unexpected changes or delays.
· Document and communicate customer feedback including complaints to management.
· Attend product and customer related meetings as required.
· Recommend potential products or services to management by collecting information and analyzing customer needs.
· Accurately price orders using computer system, special promos, or job quotes as applicable.
· Experience with shipping terms and policies a plus.
· Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
· Generally, the job requires 85% sitting, 10% walking, 5% standing.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· The position requires strong computer skills with minimum 2 years data entry experience in a manufacturing or distribution setting.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in a customer service
environment.
· Basic math skills and proficient use of computers including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
· Need to be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, while assisting customers over the phone, email and in person.
· Ability to interact at a high level of professionalism with others, including co-workers, vendors, and customers.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work independently and as a team member.
· Ability to multi-task, manage priorities and manage time effectively.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
