Dover Behavioral Health is a mental health facility located in Dover, DE. Our treatment center provides mental health and addiction treatment services to individuals from Delaware, Maryland, and most other states throughout the US. Dover Behavioral Health System is seeking a Weekend Social Worker. The incumbents will be delivering high quality assessment and admissions services to the public.
This position is Part Time - Weekend with two shift options: Saturday - Sunday 8am-6pm OR Saturday, Sunday 8:30am - 4:30pm, and Monday 8:30am - 12:30pm.
Key Responsibilities include:
- In an inpatient hospital setting conducts psychosocial assessments to document patient history and identify issues for treatment by interviewing the patient and their family members.
- Deliver high quality clinical services to acute child, adolescent and adult patients
- Participate in the development and implementation of treatment plans, ensuring that concise, realistic care plans are carried out.
- Provide individual, group and family process-oriented therapies as well as conduct other didactic groups using various professional treatment modalities.
- Document treatment provided to patient in medical record legibly and in a timely manner.
- Act as the patient’s and family's primary contact during the patient's stay at the facility, as well as their advocate with the treatment team.
- Report any incidents or suspected incidences of sexual/physical abuse or other issues to community/state agencies, and represent the facility in any legal proceedings.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social work or a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- LMSW or a related Counseling license
