Job Description
Summary:
The IT Systems Administrator manages all activities related to IT support and IT implementation projects. Ensures full IT functionality on daily basis. Manages and deploys changes to current and new processes as it relates to IT. Analyzes, develops and implements IT system enhancement according to users’ needs and requirements. Ensure that all IT projects goals are accomplished according to specification and business objectives. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology and will have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users within the organization.
This employee exercises discretion and independent judgment in the performance of office or non-manual work directly related to management policies or to the general business operations of the Company or customers. As well as regularly and directly assist a proprietor, manager or exempt administrator or works under only general supervision while executing special assignments or performing specialized or technical work requiring special training, experience and/or knowledge. In addition, this position spends more than 50% of work time performing administrative duties.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Provide IT system onsite support to the Georg Fischer Industrial group Little Rock location and remote support for other locations as required. Travel out of state as needed to other businesses in the America's region
2. Ability to understand and configure Laptop’s, cell telephones
3. Analyze, design, develop and test new functionality to support business needs.
4. Manage IT project implementation
5. Work on enhancing standard IT functionality to satisfy end user specific requirements
6. Developing strong relationships with IT users and outside contractors in order to facilitate an optimal work environment
7. Design and develop IT user documentation and training procedure
8. Provide effective training and develop expertise to train on new technologies
9. Committed to the protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees,
Customers and neighbors. Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving our
Environmental Management System (EMS).
Education & Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, preferred
· 5 years proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
· An intricate knowledge of, and experience with, the software life cycle process, a plus
· Thee years experience in all phases of technical project management, a plus
· Five years experience in all phases of application systems management, including systems analysis, design, implementation and testing activities, a plus
· Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
· Excellent communication skills
Knowledge, Skills, Training & Abilities:
· Work with managed service provider for provisioning LAN/WAN. Good working knowledge of networking fundamentals.
· Proficiency in computer scripting languages
· Proficient in Computer operating systems, not limited to MS Windows Server
· Virtual systems administration a plus, including but not limited to VMWare Vsphere 6+
· Ability to pass Company pre-placement physical, controlled substance testing, and background and security checks.
· SQL Database operations
· Experience with network backing software is a plus
WORKING CONDITIONS:
· Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced factory environment
· Ability to work in an office and to travel to all facilities (as needed)
· Ability to work in environmentally controlled computer rooms in office and industrial settings
· Strength: Ability to exert up to 20 lbs. of force
· Ability to match and sort items based on color; to distinguish between different colors; to express or exchange ideas by means of spoken word; and perceive nature
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
