Job Description
Renal Associates of West Michigan, P.C., a leader in providing excellent renal care in West Michigan, is looking for a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant who is an enthusiastic and patient orientated person to join our team. Experience is preferred but willing to train the right candidate with medical assistant certification. Hours are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (no weekends). Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.
List of Responsibilities/Duties:
- Reviews the chart of scheduled patients prior to the appointment to ensure all tests are completed and the information is in the patient's medical record.
- Initiates communication with patients on completing pre-appointment requirements.
- Rooms patients, collecting patient history, chief complaint and vitals.
- Clerical responsibilities as assigned including retrieving patient hospital notes, referral information, patient demographics.
- Gathers and communicates medical information as directed by the physician/organization.
- Accurately records and reviews medications lists
- Administers appropriate immunizations and injections utilizing MCIR.
- Ensures exam rooms are properly stocked with supplies. Also, cleans exam rooms after use.
- Participates in the quality/performance initiatives of the office.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Must be dependable, motivated and a team player. Excellent verbal/written communication skills and have the ability to work cooperatively with others. Also, must be able to stand on feet for long period of time and handle multiple interruptions.
