Job Description
This position encompasses both administrative and clinical aspects of medical assisting. It includes, but is not limited to, check-in, check-out, answering telephone calls, verifying insurance benefits, scheduling and confirming appointments, collecting copays, deductibles, and co-insurances, handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, processing requests for medical records, triage, obtaining vitals and other pertinent information from patients, assisting providers with exams and procedures, and performing diagnostic testing.
Skills
- Registered or Certified Medical Assistant designation, with a minimum of two years of recent outpatient experience in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Urgent Care. Associate degree strongly preferred. Must have excellent customer service skills and work well in a fast-paced environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
