Job Description
Interactive Life Forms (www.interactivelifeforms.com) is an innovative company based in southeast Austin that leads in the design and manufacturing of a wide variety of consumer pleasure products. We are currently looking for an energetic, resourceful, and experienced Production Manager to oversee the manufacturing of our specialty products.
Our Production Manager is responsible for directing and coordinating the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing our products in accordance with cost, quality, delivery and quantity specifications. Our ideal candidate for Production Manager is a motivated self-starter with proven leadership skills and experience working in an injection mold manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties:
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day production of thermal plastic hot poured products.
- Responsible for supervising and coaching the production team in the manufacturing of proprietary products.
- Supervises the required maintenance and repair of all production related equipment.
- Ensure employees are trained properly in the use of systems and safety measures.
- Utilize software systems and ERP to properly plan and account for all production.
- Focus on Quality Control to ensure high quality products and consistent procedures.
- Continually evaluate employees’ knowledge skills and abilities.
- Foster good communication and manage conflict.
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in production and implement alternative solutions as they relate to cost, quality, and production requirements – for existing and new product launches.
- Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvement.
- Create and maintain process and procedures manual.
Basic Requirements:
- Education consistent with production management
- 7-10 years of production manufacturing experience
- 5+ years’ supervisory experience required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of integrity, and ability to take initiative and be self-directed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Spanish as a second language is preferred
Preferred qualifications:
- Working knowledge of ERP systems or other similar software as it pertains to manufacturing orders, inventory control, and KPI reporting is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 per year
