Job Description
We are currently looking for a Server to join our new restaurant that is expected to open in Summer 2023. Servers report directly to the General Manager and Assistant General Manager. The ideal candidate is someone who has a passion for food and beverage, a genuine ability to connect with guests and teammates and is passionate about making this the best work experience they can for others. Experience is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily opening and closing procedures, including stocking and cleaning duties
Working in a clean and efficient manner, always with a sense of purpose, and good time management
Ensuring quality of service and standards are maintained
Providing attentive and proactive service with the ability to respond quickly to guest needs and management team
Supporting the development of Junior Crew members job-readiness skills
EXPECTED WORK SCHEDULE
For part-time roles:
This position is expected to work 16-32 hours a week for three days a week inclusive of mornings, evenings, weekends and some government holidays.
For full-time roles:
This position is expected to work at least 40 hours a week for five days a week, inclusive of mornings, evenings, weekends and some government holidays.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to work in a standing environment for 8 hours
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to work independently
Desire to work in a team driven environment with a focus on support and guidance
Most positions at FWW require you to be 18 years or older and have a valid driver's license
Must obtain alcohol safety training and food handler certification (provided by Mack’s Bingo)
Experience is preferred.
COMPENSATION
We utilize a tip-free pay structure at our restaurant. The decision for this pay structure was made based on our commitment to creating a more positive and equitable work environment that provides a dependable wage and minimizes the pay gap between workers in the kitchen and the dining room. Rather than expecting tips from our guests, we accept donations that go directly to our mission in order to provide more opportunities for our Junior Crew.
For part-time roles:
This position is classified as nonexempt with a starting wage of $20.00. In addition to competitive pay, we offer the following benefits for part-time employees:

ABOUT FARMS WORK WONDERS
Farms Work Wonders is a nonprofit social enterprise whose mission is to ignite the spark of curiosity in Appalachian youth so they see themselves and their future in new and exciting ways. We create living classrooms to provide real-life learning experiences and generate proceeds that are 100% reinvested back into the local community. In 2016, Farms Work Wonders started with the Wardensville Garden Market project—an organic farm and farm stand. Since opening, our enterprises have expanded to include a market, bakery, glass blowing studio, and restaurant (expected to open Summer 2023) that have currently created over 100 local, good-paying jobs with many held by local high school students.
