Job Description
Overview:
**CMA's Eligible for a $2,000 sign on bonus for external candidates and internal new grads**
OSF will invest in you day 1! Candidates with 5+ years of direct experience will receive a bonus of 40 hours of Paid Time Off frontloaded on day 1. This is in addition to our generous PTO plan!
Expected pay for this position is $19.19 min-$22.57mid. Actual base pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Certified Medical Assistant will perform delegated clinical and administrative duties consistent with Medical Assistant program education, training, and experience. May work in both the clinical and front office functions of the practice providing clerical support, assisting in the delivery of health care and patient care support activities at the direction of the physician/provider. The incumbent performs the duties described below in accordance with the specific needs of the practice.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school or GED equivalent Certificate of completion/Diploma from a medical assistant program Other Licenses/Certifications: CMA-Certified Medical Assistant
Current certification by one the following approved certifying agencies: American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), earning CMA credential; American Medical Technologists (AMT), earning RMA credential; National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), earning NCMA credential National HealthCare Association (NHA), earning CCMA credential
Other skills/knowledge: Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Previous experience as a medical office assistant or CNA or equivalent, previous experience with an electronic health record, phlebotomy
