Description/Job Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for product management of select ASHP products from inception to product launch. You will utilize market research, user research, to generate product requirements, specifications, and road maps positioning products (including product/service/membership bundles and pairings) in the market space. You will be responsible for developing business models and pricing models relevant to customer segment and sales channel.
This position is based in our Bethesda, MD office. Our office has a hybrid working environment, with a combination of onsite and remote work.Please note that ASHP requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and candidates will be required to show proof of being fully vaccinated upon commencing employment. What You'll Be Doing:
Works with the Vice President, Business Development and Strategy to set product strategy in collaboration with various ASHP business divisions.
Identifies and analyzes new product development and enhancement opportunities for current products and services.
Monitors current and emerging competitors and devises strategies to develop and maintain a comparative advantage.
Determines customer and end user needs and translates these into specifications and road maps.
Works across all business units (and third parties) during the product development process to coordinate activities that achieve a successful product launch and an effective positioning in the market place.
Writes and provides product information for marketing and sales purposes.
Develops business plans and go-to-market sales strategies.
Monitors and reports regularly on revenue and expenses at the product level.
Develops coherent business models and product pricing informed by market research.
Works closely with ASHP sales staff to address customer needs and assists in the sales process.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You Bring to ASHP:
College degree required or equivalent work experience.
Product management certification preferred.
Minimum of two years product management experience, preferably in an educational setting.
Experience with Learning Management Systems.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
Ability to work collaboratively with staff to ensure ongoing productive relationships.
Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines simultaneously; demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
Proficient problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with Learning Management Systems.
Experience with product management tools.
