Job Description
Performs clerical work requiring application of various work methods and procedures and familiarity with Medical Record Department functions, policies, and practices. Is responsible for retrieving and making numbered folders, filing processed medical records, and updating deficiencies as physicians complete their charts.
Core Responsibilities:
· Travel to Medical facilities or Provider offices to retrieve medical records and print necessary documents from appropriate medical record systems in compliance with HIPAA laws and regulations
· Communicate effectively and professionally with different provider offices - business attire is required for all appointments
· Maintain established hospital/departmental/unit policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control
· Provide daily productivity and statistical information
· Upload extracted medical records per assignment
Requirements:
· High School graduation or its equivalent plus at least 1-2 years of prior medical record department experience - Associates Degree preferred.
· Displays proficiency in management and data entry
· Knowledge of medical psychiatric and medical records terminology
· Proficiency with common computer-based applications such as electronic mail, word processing, and various databases
· Displays a respect for confidentiality
· Should be available Monday’s to Friday’s for onsite work, as and when required
· Open for traveling to other state(s) for business purpose
· Valid driver’s license, clean motor vehicle record and current automobile insurance under your name
· Willingness to travel up to 100 miles (one way) for business purpose
Preferred Qualifications:
· 1-2 years of experience in a medical office setting, hands-on experience with electronic (EMR/EHR) and paper medical records or charts
· Basic to Intermediate computer skills – ability to scan documents, save files, rename files, create folders, and upload to secure servers
· Self-motivated, well organized, able to multi-task, handle sensitive material and maintain confidentiality with the philosophy and objectives of the Clinic
Compensation:
· Advantmed pays $25 hourly for the time you spend retrieving charts
· Lucrative monthly bonus bases on total records retrieved

\*This position is a full-time working with Contract of minimum 4 months, with possibility of extension subject to project needs.

Work Location: On the road
