Mission & Outcomes: FloWater was founded with a simple idea and a big vision. As we expand across the United States, we are looking for an FP&A Consultant that will help us change the way the world drinks water by using financial analysis and data analytics to help analyze market and industry vertical trends as we continue to grow.
Great Candidate: We’re looking for a highly motivated FP&A Consultant to join our team, responsible for providing expert financial planning and analysis to aid in our decision-making process. You’ll have a strong background in a fast-growth organization and knowledge of improving efficiencies in a revenue business model. You’ll use your expertise to analyze and enhance FloWater’s current processes while partnering directly with the finance team to provide valuable insights.
Responsibility and Role:
Develop and execute long-term financial metrics, KPI’s, and reporting that help craft and refine business strategies, and tracking / reporting against organizational and departmental performance vs. budget
Conduct financial analysis, including revenue and expense analysis, retention rates in sales models, budgeting, forecasting, and trend analysis
Working with the Executive team and department heads to identify, solidify, and implement team-based KPI’s and then quickly turn this into regular reporting to department heads and Executive leadership
Provide insights into potential risks and opportunities to the organization's financial health and make recommendations for adjustments to plans accordingly
Develop competitive benchmarks with competitive or adjacent businesses that can be used to establish best practice benchmarks
Provide guidance and support to executives and other stakeholders on financial matters
Develop specialized financial analyses, utilizing various systems to create unique reports to advise leadership on decision-making.
Create presentations that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively frame decisions to be made
Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization
Evaluate our current systems and use data-mining techniques to provide insight into market trends, and industry verticals
Candidate Competencies:
5+ years of experience in FP&A
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or accounting
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Superior attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture
Advanced knowledge of budget management, financial analysis, and financial modeling
Demonstrated experience with financial systems and data query tools
Skilled in identifying and tracking KPIs on leading indicators, with a proven track record of making data-driven decisions to improve performance
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment
Compensation: This is a part-time hourly 1099 contractor role with an expectation of about a 4-6 month engagement for 10-20 hours per week for the first 3-4 months, and 10 hours per week for the last 2 months, reporting to the VP of Finance. The contract could extend longer than 6 months. This position pays $60-100/hr depending on experience.
