At Potrero Medical, our mission is to help clinicians transform patient care by developing a predictive technology platform for supporting the early detection of critical illnesses.
Our medical device, the Accuryn® Monitoring System, received 510(k) clearance from the FDA in 2016 and helps hospitals accurately measure patients’ vital signs such as urine output, body core temperature, and intra-abdominal pressure.

Business Development Representative
POSITION DESCRIPTION
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will be responsible for lead generation through outbound prospecting. The primary objective is to develop a pipeline by contacting specified targeted health systems and hospitals to generate newly qualified leads that will be provided to the outside field selling organization. We are looking for an ambitious, passionate professional with sound business acumen, technical aptitude, and strong EQ to join our fast-growing team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Included but not limited to)
Identify and convert qualified leads to the field selling organization.
Establish product expertise and develop an in-depth understanding of the critical care environment.
Build strong relationships with prospects that lead to actionable results.
Expertly navigate on the phones to contact Key Decision Makers
Establish rapport on the phone and back it up with confident credibility while consistently following up on all leads.
Support marketing efforts by assisting in online, direct mail and other marketing campaigns.
Work toward achieving/exceeding weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals.
Perform additional responsibilities or other functions as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience cold calling in the high-tech or MEDTECH space.
Experience in modern prospecting and lead development techniques.
Experience with customer relationship management systems.
Comfortable and experienced with cold calling into all areas of the hospital.
Effective combination of selling skills, business, and technical acumen
Quick to learn new concepts and technology while thriving in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
Excellent verbal, written and analytical communication skills.
Ability to be a self-starter in a remote work environment.
Must be able to meet hospital credentialing requirements.
Responsible for performing all duties in compliance with FDA’s Quality System Regulation (QSR), ISO13485, ISO 14971, the Canadian Medical Device Regulations, and all other international regulatory requirements with which Potrero Medical complies.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree preferred.
