Position: Assistant Construction Project Manager
Job Summary:
The Assistant Construction Project Manager will support the overall management and coordination of construction projects. This role will assist the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and controlling all aspects of the project, ensuring it is delivered within the established timeframes, budget, and quality standards. The Assistant Construction Project Manager will collaborate with various stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and internal teams, to achieve project objectives and drive successful project completion.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and implement project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and schedules.
Assist in managing project resources, including subcontractors, suppliers, and internal team members, to ensure effective project execution.
Monitor and report project progress, identifying any deviations from the plan and taking corrective actions as necessary.
Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities, to facilitate smooth project operations.
Assist in preparing project budgets, cost estimates, and schedules, ensuring adherence to allocated resources.
Support the procurement process by obtaining quotes, evaluating bids, and selecting vendors, in alignment with project requirements.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, ensure compliance with safety standards, and address any site-related issues.
Assist in reviewing project documentation, such as drawings and specifications, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Participate in project meetings, providing updates, resolving issues, and contributing to decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience (5 years) in assisting with construction project management, preferably in a ground up residential construction setting.
Strong knowledge of construction codes, techniques, and best practices.
Familiarity with project management methodologies, tools, and software.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build positive relationships.
Proficiency in using project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
