Job Description
Join our team of medical professionals! We’re hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at our Fountain Ridge clinic, who is passionate about patient care and delivering exceptional customer service. This individual will work closely with providers and patients and serve as a key player in maintaining a high level of quality patient care.
This is a part time position, working 2 days (days may vary) throughout the week from 7:30a-7:00p, and rotating Saturdays from 8:30a-12:30p.
Responsibilities:
· Run entire clinic for the MD/PA – room patients; obtain vitals, PQRS and Meaningful Use Data; check patients out; and schedule follow-up appointments.
· Schedule all imaging, EMG, pain management, etc.
· Schedule all surgeries and send orders to hospitals.
· Obtain prior authorizations for outside imaging, injections and other tests ordered that require prior authorization.
· Prescreen all medical calls for MD/PA team.
· Submit prescription refill requests to MD/PA.
· Send all imaging results and tests to providers.
· Maintain ongoing communication for efficient clinic operations.
· Perform housekeeping duties in their designated area by conducting routine and periodic cleaning; maintain order and cleanliness throughout the clinic.

· High school graduate or equivalent, required.
· Current Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, or Licensed Practical Nurse, required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Must have superficial knowledge of the reasons for patient care as administered in the clinic. Some knowledge of physiology, anatomy, neurology, and medical terminology, preferred.
· Ability to tolerate intermittent physical activity, including sitting, walking, standing, stooping, carrying, talking, seeing, bending, handling; has good color vision and speed. The degree to which any of these is done depends on the techniques being used.
· Must possess skill in the techniques of patient relations, efficiently assisting in the processing/registration of patients; be competent in answering questions regarding appointments and scheduling.
· Must be professional at all times.
· Ability to take accurate vitals when rooming patients.
