Beach Front Property Management is a privately held company specialized in the management of multi-family properties in key U. S. markets. We currently own and manage over 12,000 units in Southern California. We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our management team. The AP Clerk reports to the Controller & CFO and is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Handle accounts payable, prepare checks.
Perform the day to day processing of accounts payable transactions in an effective, up to date and accurate manner.
Review invoices and check requests.
Sort and match invoices and check requests.
Process necessary backup reports.
Prepare analysis of account and reconciliation of payments.
Manage multiple company payables
Track vendor insurance and W-9 information
Prepare and mail yearly 1099's to vendors
Review resident refunds
Post resident NSF
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience:
Experience with Yardi, MS Excel, and MS Word.
Minimum of 1 years experience in accounting or similar position; experience in Real Estate Management Sector required; Multifamily preferred
Reliable, trustworthy, team-oriented & able to handle a heavy work load;
Highly organized, accurate and effective
Strong ability to multi-task and learn quickly
Ability to present information clearly and accurately, both written and orally;
Ability to interact with various levels of client and firm management
Working Conditions:
Physical Demands
The Accounts Payable Clerk will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers, which can cause muscle strain. The AP Clerk will also have to do some lifting of supplies and materials from time to time.
Environmental Conditions
The AP Clerk is located in a busy, open area office and may be faced with interruptions and must meet with others on a regular basis.
Sensory Demands
The AP Clerk must spend long hours in intense concentration. The incumbent must also spend long hours on the computer entering financial information which requires attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
Mental Demands
There are a number of deadlines associated with this position, which may cause stress. The AP Clerk must also deal with a wide variety of people on various issues.
