The Business Development & Brand Partnerships team drives strategic, revenue-generating deals for the company and its roster of genre-diverse artists. 88rising partners with like-minded brands that champion diverse storytelling to create unique collaborations spanning artists, music, events and co-branded product drops, and has worked with the world’s most beloved brands across all verticals including Bose, Disney, Guess, Honda, Johnnie Walker, McDonald's, Microsoft, Panda Express, Samsung, Toyota, and more. We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Manager, Brand Partnerships who will be responsible for the full lifecycle of deals from generating new business development pipeline and opportunities, to launching the brand partnerships in the US and Asia, including creative ideation, execution of the branded deliverables, and performance and post-mortem evaluation of the entire partnership.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing pipeline and generating new leads with brands and agencies in the US and Asia. Requires a self-starter who has a hustle mentality and cold calls new clients and ability to work an existing rolodex of brand relationships
Responsible for leading the managing and delivering of artist/brand partnership deliverables post-sale until successful execution of the project, as an effective project manager internally and externally with clients
Assist business development team in pitching new ideas, creation of deck materials and client calls and meetings. Assist in new leads in brand, agency and industry relationships
Launch sales CRM program. Manage and track pipeline of opportunities and assist in closing revenue-generating opportunities and impactful partnerships for the company
Create and launch monthly newsletter and other new lead generation programs for brands
Lead the creation of highly effective and impactful deck materials for client pitches and meetings. Ability to pitch new creative ideas and lead client calls and meetings
Track partnership deliverables through an organized system, and effective at communicating key updates concisely to internal and external parties
Develop partnership reporting for internal and external clients with a knack for analytics, especially social metrics and KPIs. Self-starter who can communicate key learnings to wider teams and continually improve partnership management project after project
Responsible for ensuring tasks have clear objectives, timings, ownership and deliverables. Ability to drive projects daily through to completion and managing internal and external stakeholders to get things done
Be able to maintain effective communication and work cross-functionally including creative, production, music, marketing, artist management, touring, product, legal, licensing, executive team and external partners. Able to make judgment calls under limited guidance with quickly shifting nature of projects
Responsible for overall client satisfaction and successful execution of branded projects measured internally and externally
Qualifications:
At least 4 years of experience with a proven track record in music brand partnerships, partnership management, business development, agency or related experience. US experience required, Asia experience a bonus
A self-starter and innovative team player, with a pulse of the latest music industry, brands, advertising, and culture trends to encourage new opportunity development at the company. A knack for communicating and bringing fresh ideas to the table
Excellent communication, writing, presentation and organizational skills and ability to lead client relationships as well as cross-functional internal communications. Proficient in Google Suite tools (Docs, Slides, Sheets), MS Office and productivity suites
Strong understanding of digital content, music and video production processes, timelines and coordination
Ability to work under high pressure situations and under limited guidance. Ability to successfully organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects under strict deadlines.
Flexibility to work nights and weekends if needed and for occasional calls with Asia-based teams
