DECA Health has an exciting and rewarding career opportunity for a full-time Medical Assistant (MA) to join our fast-paced, multi-provider practice. Our Medical Assistants perform various clinical and administrative duties, including vitals, blood draws, and medical records. The MA is responsible for coordination of all of the front office interactions with patients, including greeting patients and maintaining accurate patient information. All DECA Health employees actively participate in the creation of an environment that fosters patient, family, physician and employee satisfaction.
Core Responsibilities:
- Greet and admit patients prior to visit with provider.
- Ensure accurate electronic medical records for all patients.
- Discharge patients and assist in the scheduling of follow-up appointments and patient education.
- Set-up and assist providers with office-based procedures.
- Triage patient questions and concerns.
- Collect lab samples.
- Communicating between referring physicians, providers, patients and family members.
Required Background & Education:
- Medical Assistant certificate or Associate degree required
- 1-year experience in medical front office preferred
- Experience recording/collecting blood draws, blood pressures and vitals required.
