Job Description
The key responsibility of the Software Support Specialist is to monitor and respond to incoming requests relating to web application issues in a timely and professional manner. This role works with the software development team and interacts with system users across the company. In addition to managing the help desk ticket queue, the person in this role will use their system knowledge and analytical skills to test features and identify issues before they are released.
The Ideal Candidate will:
- Handle triage and communication of Help Desk Requests.
- Issue replication and research.
- Complete testing to ensure minimal issues with code releases.
- Monitor, prioritize, and respond to incoming tickets in the help desk request queue, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Gather detailed information to accurately diagnose and resolve software-related issues, providing effective solutions.
- Communicate technical details, issue scope, and urgency to the development team to facilitate prompt issue resolution.
- Translate complex technical information into clear and understandable solutions for non-technical users, ensuring a positive user experience.
- Test new feature releases to verify that they work as expected, meet user requirements, and align with business goals.
- Become a superuser of the Web application, gaining understanding of how changes and updates impact different users across the company.
What you need:
- Excellent software support and ticketing skills
- Familiarity with software QA and testing
- Strong technical skills in SQL and Testing Automation
- Strong analytical skills

- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Excellent organization and planning skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Software Engineering or a related field
- 2+ years of proven experience in software support/development
