Job Description
Overview
The Information Technology (IT) Specialist supports the technology and cyber security functions of the credit union. This position will provide direct, knowledgeable support to employees and act as a liaison for credit union employees and third-party network service providers. The IT Specialist will work closely with the IT Director to provide key support for IT/cyber security and systems management. They should have a proficient understanding of the credit union’s frontline hardware and software systems. The IT Specialist will assist in maintaining a positive culture through clear communication, active listening, and proactive resolution for technological disruptions.
Cybersecurity and Technical Support:
- Provide ongoing technical support to the internal TFCU team and ensure branch systems, connectivity, and security are in working order.
- Liaison for Think|Stack Network Service.
- Support open cases to resolve in a timely manner.
- Participate in support calls with Think|Stack to discuss issues.
- Support the timely completion of phishing tests and cyber security training.
- Support the timely completion of IT and cybersecurity related reports, including the Security Risk Assessment, Enterprise Risk Assessment, and Trace Security.
- Support activity management of M365 including SharePoint.
- Assist with purchase and set up of TFCU hardware, as needed.
- Act as primary contact for frontline hardware setup, configuration, and actively address any ongoing issues that may arise.
- Reset and unlock network users as needed.
Security and Systems Support:
- Support the operations and maintenance of branch security systems.
- Maintain working knowledge of the credit electronic storage systems and provide support as needed.
- Maintain a general operational understanding of the core and other third-party technology systems.
- Collaborate in the research and implementation of system enhancements (i.e. core banking, online banking, member communication channels.)
- Act as liaison between third-party network service providers, phone, and internet vendors.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least two years of previous credit union or financial institution experience.
- Thorough knowledge of the credit union industry products, services, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Skills
- Proficiency in computer hardware setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of computer networking principles and practices.
- Experience with Windows operating systems and related software applications.
- Familiarity with IT support processes, including ticketing systems like Remedy.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to think critically under pressure.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $29.00 - $33.00 per hour
