Job Description
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated HR Manager to join our team at The Pines Post Acute and Memory Care. The right candidate will be a recruiter and drive innovative ideas for staff retention and to move our staff through nursing career paths.
Pay :$22-$25/hr.
Hours: 40 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Be facility recruiter: post jobs on Indeed, Facebook, and Workday, screen applicants, run state and local background checks
- Handle workers' compensation claims and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. (create and submit OSHA log)
- Address employee relations issues, utilizing conflict management techniques to resolve disputes.
- Maintain accurate HR records using Workday
- Coordinates leave of absence requests and processes requests
- Ensures new hire paperwork is completed including the I-9 form, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
- Ensures that new employees are properly oriented and trained.
- Prepares for and participates in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies.
- Ensure all licenses, certificates and other credentials, as well as TB screens are kept up-to-date.
- Perform duties relative to the facility’s overall payroll function. Process payroll twice monthly
- Coordinates the employee performance review process.
- Respond promptly to unemployment and worker compensation claims
- Champion the annual satisfaction survey for employees and residents
- Performs other duties as may be needed or assigned.

- Ability to navigate conflict with professionalism and empathy.
- Proven experience recruiting and retaining staff
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
- Must have, as a minimum, one year of Human Resources experience preferably in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related health care facility.
- Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult situations.
