Job Summary:
The Human Resource Generalist will partner with the Human Resources Dept. to coordinate and administer Human Resource functions at all US Godfrey & Wing locations. The HR Generalist is responsible for administering all compliance, company policies and practices. The ideal candidate will assume a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to leading all full cycle recruiting efforts, Coordinating and perform new hire orientation, daily administration of HR functions, coordinate HR activities, track, and maintain safety trainings, and support HR team with projects.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate open enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs.
- Respond to human resources-related inquiries.
- Assist with payroll processing.
- Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies.
- Administer new employee on-boarding and orientation.
- Develop and maintain talent management processes.
- Monitor employee morale and company culture.
- Collaborate with the human resources team to develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Identify future staffing needs.
- Create and implement a full cycle recruiting process to ensure a positive experience for candidates.
- Maintain and update online job boards, professional networks, colleges, technical schools, etc.
- Create and review job descriptions for accuracy and compliance and post jobs.
- Recruit for All U.S. locations in various platforms (Linked In, Indeed, etc.)
- Process complaints regarding sexual harassment, discrimination, or other instances of workplace harassment and assist HR in any necessary investigations and disciplinary actions.
- Maintain employee personnel records.
- Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary.
- Support audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommend corrective action.
- Assists with the preparation of the performance reviews.
- Assists with HR Projects, like employee parties and employee feedback surveys.
- Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the Director of HR.
- Coordinate training sessions and seminars.
- Assist in reviewing, revising safety policies and safety training.
- Processes mail.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
- Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Working knowledge of Paylocity is a plus.
- Experience sourcing candidates on various platforms such as linked in
- Some travel required.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources and/or related field and a 3-5 years’ work experience in a Human Resources role
- Prior HR experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
