Job Description
DEPARTMENT:HR
DIRECT REPORT:Director of Human Resources
FUNCTION:
This position is responsible for onboarding new hires and retention.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for working with all departments to ensure Guest & Employee Satisfaction.
- Contact new hires to ensure they come to new hire orientation prepared.
- Manage the orientation classes ensuring New Hires complete all onboarding tasks before Orientation.
- Conduct new hire orientation classes.
- Communicate with department heads all pertinent information for upcoming orientation classes, uniform and name tags needs, etc.
- Build personnel files for new hires.
- Creating new hire packets.
- Post in Beekeeper.
- Assist with logins of Beekeeper and 1Huddle.
- Verify background results are completed and forwarded to HR Coordinator & DHR, and filed.
- Electronic Filing.
- Everify
- Between 2 and 3 weeks of hire, follow up with all new employees.
- Assist with employee events.
- Practices the WinStar World Hotel Culture and ensures all cultural expectations are implemented and regularly practiced throughout the hotel.
- Responsible for performing other duties as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS:
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- HR / Recruiting experience preferred.
- Hospitality Experience preferred.
- Excellent written & verbal communication.
- Strong analytical, problem solving & organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in fast paced demanding environment.
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills - required.
- Must speak, read, and write English.
- Bi-lingual preferred.
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- General knowledge of the principles and practices of full cycle Recruiting.
- Knowledge of the organizations and operations of administrative programs.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and Recruiting programs.
- Network with professionals and candidates seeking employment.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with management staff, employees, and the public.
- Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
- Have professional communication etiquette.
- Must have people Skills, supports diversity, employment law and have project management skills.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and other systems as needed.
- Must keep current on recruiting trends, technology & execution.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Physically mobile with reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to lift and carry upwards to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned desk area.
- Manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including computers, calculators, registers, fax machines, and photo copiers, etc.

GROOMING/UNIFORMS
- All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance. Specific uniform guidelines and/or required articles of clothing will be explained to you as a part of the orientation process.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
- Ability to obtain any licenses or permits that may be required by law or company Regulations.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required when performing work duties that may have the potential of risk to your health or safety. The hotel will provide the required PPE. Team members will be trained in the proper use and care of any assigned PPE. It is your responsibility to report defective, damaged, or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly, to your manager.
NOTICE:
Standing, bending, stooping, and lifting weights up to and including 25 lbs. may be required. The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four hours a day. In addition, this is a hospitality business, and a hospitable service atmosphere must be always projected.
