Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Human Resource Manager, the Human Resources Generalist will be the primary contact for all human resources related initiatives at the Gardner, KS location. May carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, employment, and employment equity programs. This position is part-time and employee would work 3 days a week.
Essential Functions

· Champions a safe work environment, demonstrates effective leadership, and oversees workers’ compensation administration and OSHA..
· Fosters positive employee relations and builds/drives a positive employee culture.
· Recruits, screens, and interviews job applicants to fill entry level, professional and technical job openings.
· Maintains employee records in the Human Resource Information System. Keeps record of personnel transactions and other employee related records.
· Serves as a vital point of contact to understand employee concerns and actively assists management in addressing and resolving concerns. Coach managers on employment issues and employee development.
· Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all employees; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook.
· Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations. Makes recommendations to managers for corrective action and continuous improvement.
· May represent organization at personnel related hearings and investigations.
· Responds to and investigates employee relations issues such as employee complaints and harassment allegations.
· Advises and consults with supervisors and managers on policy matters and legal requirements. Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
· Facilitates employee recognition programs.
· Facilitates/provides workforce training.
· Behaves in such a manner as to be an important role model of company values and mission statement for employees.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $23.60 - $28.42 per hour
