Job Description

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field and four years of human resources experience with an emphasis on talent acquisition. Strong understanding of employment law and regulations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to demonstrate professionalism and uphold strict confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge and understanding of Oracle HRIS, and SABA is desirable. In lieu of a degree, directly related experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
SUMMARY
Responsible for full life cycle recruitment process for the Authority. Assists with researching and administering recruitment strategies. Provides guidance and support to departments for staffing needs. Coordinates and hosts job fairs and community outreach events as needed and/or assigned. Sources, screens, and interviews candidates for hiring consideration. Ensures that required pre-employment checks are completed. Provides on-going support to address questions and concerns for new hires during the onboarding period. Prepares salary recommendations for new hires. Assists with the development, implementation and update of policies and procedures for Talent Acquisition and support special projects and human resources initiatives as needed or assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports the full-cycle recruitment process by posting positions, conducting interviews, administering tests, validating references, conducting backgrounds checks, and screening and evaluating applicant’s qualifications.
- Prepares offer packages and makes formal offers of employment to selected candidates.
- Builds and maintains relationships with hiring managers and external partners.
- Ensures programs such as employee orientation and training for newly hired employees are implemented in accordance with policy.
- Coordinates and hosts job fairs and community outreach events as needed and/or assigned.
- Contributes to the development and branding of MARTA outreach initiatives.
- Analyzes recruiting data metrics to develop process improvement strategies and recommendations to optimize organizations efficiency and effectiveness.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification desired.
Grade: 16
Salary: $51,516-$77,274
