Job Description
Position Title: BILINGUAL HR GENERALIST
Department: Administrative
Reports To: Director of Human Resources
Work Schedule: 8 a.m. to 4:30p.m. Monday through Friday
FLSA Status: Exempt
Salary Range: $58,656-$62,000 - Depending on Experience
Brothers Redevelopment is a nonprofit organization that provides housing and various housing-related services for the region's low-income community members, older adults, and people living with disabilities across Colorado.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the HR Generalist is responsible for a variety of day-to-day human resource initiatives with an emphasis on driving recruitment excellence. This position collaborates closely with the Director of Human Resources to support the administration of HR policies, procedures, and programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages the full-cycle recruitment process for employees and interns including collaborating on position announcements, posting jobs, reviewing resumes for minimum qualifications, creating applicant screening questions, participating in interviews, responding to candidate inquiries, and extending offers.
- Has experience working with Professional Employer Organization (PEO).
- Manages the onboarding process by conducting weekly new hire orientations to review all necessary paperwork, policies, and procedures, educate new employees about the organization and collaborate with other departments to ensure equipment and related items are ready prior to candidates start date.
- Conducts offboarding processes, exit interviews, gathers feedback, and provides recommendations to Director of Human Resources and executive management.
- Performs advanced sourcing through various mediums such as networking, associations, universities, attending career fairs, community agencies, referrals, online and traditional directories as well as other innovative sourcing methods. Develops and maintains a network of potential candidates and conducts cold calls to passive candidates to present opportunities for critical or difficult to fill positions.
- Oversees internship program, builds relationships with universities, ensures a centralized process, oversees training, and evaluates program opportunities.
- Develops and delivers training on talent acquisition processes, internal recruiting systems / processes, interviewing techniques, and methodologies.
- Maintains applicant tracking system including communication with candidates, applicant status, active and archived jobs, disposition codes, templates, user access, applications, and document uploads.
- Tracks, analyzes, and compiles statistical information on employment related data and government reporting including but not limited to recruitment metrics, applicant sources, interviews, turnover, diversity, veteran / disability status, FMLA, EEO, VETS, AAP, etc.
- Assists with budgeting and forecasting.
- Assists in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies, providing guidance and interpretation for business operations. Completes special projects setting timetables, conducting research, developing, and organizing information and fulfilling transactions for project completion.
- Updates and maintains HR documents, forms, employment website, communications, etc.
- Coordinates leave of absence programs.
- Supports employee engagement and provides excellent customer service through timely and punctual responses to applicants, employees, and managers on HR related inquiries.
- Coordinates various employee appreciation activities and events with committee/management.
- Performs other responsibilities as needed.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
- Bilingual preferred.
- 2-4 years full-cycle recruitment and Generalist experience.
- Recruiting experience in a nonprofit environment strongly preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite Applications, Adobe, SharePoint, HRIS database program preferred.
- Must have a valid driver license.
- Must have reliable transportation.
LOCATION:
- This position is mostly performed onsite, with one remote day a week. This is an office environment, with some travel to attend dedicated events or participate in recruitment activities.
MENTAL DEMANDS:
- Most of the duties are varied and regularly require analysis, comprehension, or limited judgment and discretion. Some of the duties may not conform to standard practices requiring the use of analysis and interpretation to resolve problems.
- Requires the use of mathematical skills occasionally or about 1/3 of the time.
- Requires continuous concentration, alertness, and attention to detail.
- Requires an intermediate level of reading and writing.
