Job Description
The Coker University Nursing Program is seeking qualified applicants for a non tenure-track position of Special Lecturer beginning January 2025. This position is a 12-month position that reports to the Dean of the College of Health Professions.
Preferred qualifications include an earned Doctorate in Nursing. Previous successful teaching and experience at the university level is preferred. The role of a special lecturer (Nursing) provides the opportunity for a clinician to teach within the College of Health Professions while working full-time in a clinical role outside of Coker. The Primary responsibilities for the position include teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels with online and in-seat opportunities available. Responsibilities, focused on teaching, include teaching 24-27 credits within the academic year, completing Quality Matters (QM) training and adhering to QM standards for course review, and assisting in course development and online source course development.
