Position Description
CVS Health offers an exciting opportunity to join our PBM Finance Enablement team, as a Senior Automation Engineer, Intelligent Process Automation, within the Data, Analytics, and Automation group. You will develop deep understanding of PBM Finance data and processes to formulate scalable automation solutions to improve overall business quality and compliance, create greater operational scalability, reduce turnaround times, and improve customer experience. You will contribute to building and maturing automation capabilities across Rebate Ops, Fin Ops, and FP&A areas of PBM Finance. You will help unlock value for our financial operations and further democratize the data within the organization.
You will report to the Sr. Manager of PBM Finance Data, Analytics, and Automation.
To be successful in this role, you need to be a self-starter with strategic focus and bias for action and experience in design thinking, continuous process improvement, systems analysis, solution architecture and development, and data integration. You need to have proven leadership qualities, strong relationship building skills, and strong drive for fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing. Ideal candidate will be customer-centric and mission-focused, and will bring passion, energy and excitement to the team and organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner and collaborate with business stakeholders, Process Engineers, IT, etc. to foster innovation and rapidly transform business processes, enabling management of every aspect of business with ease
Provide technical vision and drive project execution, automating repetitive processes, and delivering significant reduction in costs and process complexities, improving quality and compliance, and enhancing customer experience
Provide domain knowledge and engineering insight, translate end user needs into clear business requirements and technical specifications; rapidly deliver solutions, using agile methods
Encourage engineering excellence and maintain close oversight of technical execution to build reliable, scalable, secure, and sustainable solutions that internal and external customers can depend on
Ensure consistent and clear documentation for production-ready solutions; drive business adoption for rolled out applications; track project benefits
Grow and develop your skillset and knowledge of automation capabilities, methods, and techniques; continuously evaluate/evolve processes, best practices, and tools
Lead by example to inspire a positive attitude, engagement, and professional growth
Champion a culture of continuous improvement, curiosity, collaboration, and innovation
Required Qualifications
4+ years of experience in software or application development / engineering
4+ years of development experience in SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages
4+ year of experience in ETL tools, data mining and data wrangling software (SSIS, SAS, Alteryx, Trifacta, or others)
4+ years of experience in database management; preferred technologies: SQL Server, Teradata, SAP HANA
3+ years of experience analyzing claims data and/or other large datasets
3+ year of experience converting business requirement to technical specifications
2+ year of experience in BI platforms such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, or others
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in healthcare industry, including health insurance, PBM or pharmacy services
Prior experience designing and implementing scalable production-level solutions
Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Knowledge of Automation Anywhere (AA), UiPath, or other RPA tools; MS Power Platform; SAP Cloud Analytics
Knowledge of natural language processing, text analytics/mining, semantic technology, and/or machine learning
Prior experience working in agile environment
Must be experienced in communicating ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new business processes and adapt to new technologies
Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean Thinking and Six Sigma
Strong working knowledge of Office 365 applications
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required
Master’s degree preferred
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$94,500.00 - $196,000.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
