Job Description
Arcosa Wind Towers is looking for Quality ISO Coordinator to join our Belen, NM team. In this role, you will be responsible for the ongoing coordination and compliance with the ISO standard including training, performing audits, process improvement, and communicating with the onsite Quality Manager. This role reports to the Plant Quality Manager.
Location: Belen, NM
What you’ll do:
- Interpret, assess, and implement ISO standards to be applied to the manufacturing plant.
- Revise and maintain, with assistance from applicable departments, internal procedures to ensure compliance with ISO regulations.
- Lead plant effort for maintaining ISO certification. Meet with department leaders regularly to describe the status of the company’s quality and ISO compliance, including current problems and proposed resolutions.
- Coordinate ISO training for supervisors and managers.
- Schedule, conduct, and monitor quality training.
- Compile customer audit results.
- Enforce compliance with internal procedures to ensure that established quality and process procedures are being followed at all times.
- Update and distribute controlled documents.
- Maintain and manage the corrective action system.
- Assist with the Investigation of internal/external customer complaints.
- Assist with the investigation and disposition of nonconforming material and returned goods.
- Partner with the management team to create KPI’s for potential statistical analysis.
- Create methods to measure and improve performance.
- Escort all customer ISO audits and external ISO audits.
- Perform internal process audits; Participate as Lead Auditor.
- Perform all administrative duties related to the plant quality management system and ISO processes.
- Review pending document change requests and provide support for completions.
- All other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required with commensurate experience
- 1 - 3 years of relevant and related work experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably in heavy industrial manufacturing
- A thorough understanding and proficiency with ISO Standards ISO 9001
- Experience with supporting auditing efforts
- Knowledge of production processes and equipment
- Experience and demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, environmental database applications, and creating/delivering presentations
- Ability to analyze information and strong data reporting skills
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position
- Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds which operate 3 shifts and frequent weekend shifts
- This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
- Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.
