Job Description

HOW A TECHNICAL ARCHITECT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Designs and defines Application system architecture for new or existing computer systems based on low code application tools such as Micropact (Entellitrak), Appian, Salesforce, Pega.
- Understands the current COTS platform’s architecture, technologies, and dependencies.
- Provide expert-level analysis of user needs, define functional requirements, and develop plans and requirements.
- Develops and communicates a clear migration strategy for the solution and database that outlines the scope, timeline, and approach.
- Identifies potential risks, defines application migration strategy for as-is and implements the to-be solution including infrastructure, services, databases, APIs, and integrations.
- Creates thorough documentation for the new platform’s architecture, deployment process, APIs, and other technical details, including system diagrams, specifications, and best practices, demonstrating exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Ensures scalability, reliability, security, and performance in the new architecture.
- Manages expectations and address concerns proactively.
- Coordinates with COTS vendors, as well as developers.
- Oversee the implementation of technical solutions, working closely with development teams to ensure alignment with architectural designs.
- Perform functional allocation to identify required tasks and their interrelationships, identifying the necessary resources for each task.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, providing guidance and expertise in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, ensuring that solutions align with the latest advancements.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 7 plus years of experience in low code application tools such as: Micropact (Entellitrak), Appian, Salesforce, or Pega, regarding software architecture, design patterns, and best practices for project implementations and system integration.
- 5 years of experience with AWS cloud platform and services, and cloud integration management.
- 1-2 years familiarity with relational databases, data modeling, and data migration techniques.
- Expertise in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript frameworks, SQL, Rest APIs and CI/CD technologies.
- Knowledge in DevOps and document management systems and letter generation frameworks.
- Expertise in designing distributed systems and microservices architectures.
- Ability to design scalable, reliable, and maintainable architectures.
- Proficiency in creating diagrams and documentation to communicate complex architectural concepts.
- Strong project management skills to plan, schedule, and coordinate tasks and resources effectively.
- Expertise with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Understanding of data integrity, data privacy, and compliance.
- Familiarity with security best practices and compliance standards.
- Recognized expertise in information systems architecture, networking, telecommunications, automation, communications protocols, risk management/electronic analysis, software, lifecycle management, software development methodologies, and modeling and simulation.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Life Cycle Management and Cybersecurity.
- Container orchestration and management.
- Healthcare domain knowledge.
- Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent.
SECURITY CLEARANCE LEVEL:
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance. This requires residency in the U.S. for 3 of the last 5 years.
