Responsibilities:
- Perform dental coding and billing tasks accurately and efficiently
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for dental procedures
- Maintain and update patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with dental providers to ensure accurate documentation of services rendered
- Stay up-to-date on managed care policies and procedures
- Utilize CDT coding systems to assign appropriate diagnostic codes
- Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the dental office
Requirements:
- Proficiency in medical coding, including knowledge of CDT, a plus for ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems
- Experience with insurance verification and authorization processes
- Familiarity with dental records management and HIPAA regulations
- Strong understanding of managed care policies and procedures
- Strong understanding of DC Medicaid billing and PPO Dental billing
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing tasks
- Knowledge of dental terminology related to dental procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dental office environment

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
