Job Description:
Shipping / Warehouse Manager will direct and manage all shipping, receiving and inventory related activity for the Company at the Brentwood and other storage facilities. This individual has overall responsibility for related operations ensuring the warehouse meets its service objectives with the highest level of effectiveness and adherence to policy and procedure. This position reports directly to the CEO. This position is responsible for a 20,000 ft. warehouse and millions of dollars in perishable inventory.
Job Description:
- Manage and direct personnel and daily workflow in the Shipping, Inventory Control and Receiving departments.
- Ensure fast and accurate receipt and shipment for all inbound and outbound shipments.
- Coordinate closely with other locations (vendors) to ensure accurate and efficient transfer of products, components, and raw materials.
- Effectively motivate, train, and communicate with assigned teams to assure superior levels of safety, quality, and organic certification compliance
- Safeguard warehouse operations and inventory by maintaining and monitoring security procedures and protocol.
- Maximize warehouse utilization while ensuring components and materials support production needs.
- Ensure that individual and team levels of performance meet or exceed goals and expectations.
- Utilize the interpersonal skills necessary to effectively lead and gain involvement of team members.
- Routinely solicit feedback and provide coaching in supporting a culture which maximizes innovation, participation and results of teams and team members.
- Administer overall inventory management, productivity, accuracy and loss prevention programs.
- Monitor and control services and costs of all components of the warehouse and products.
- Supervise and control inventories by monitoring cycle counts and supporting the reconciling of any discrepancies.
- Monitor and manage related freight and logistics performance to ensure lowest total cost and ensuring superior delivery results.
- Material Handling Equipment utilization and Preventative Maintenance program. (Forklift operator certifications, Pallet shrink wrapping training, organic certification requirements for tracing and tracking all SKU’s and BEST BY DATES)
- Order, pull, pack and ship raw materials to co-manufactures efficiently and timely.
- Oversee picking line for small package daily fulfilment for accuracy, and efficiency.
- Work with the team and the CEO to run monthly inventory reports, track value of the costs of goods, and report monthly inventory value to CPA.
- Run and confirm accuracy of daily reporting totals to CPA and CEO
- Monitor, track, and report all food run productions. (Quantities, and calculate shrink)
- Confirm and approve all warehouse and food production invoices.
- Manage all warehouse and office maintenance requirements.
- Other tasks as assigned by CEO.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- 5+ years’ experience in a shipping and receiving warehouse or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of logistics is a must.
- Computer literate on MS Word, Outlook and Excel (WooCoomerce a plus)
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Domestic and international shipping experience preferred.
Skills and/or Training Desired:
- Strong organization skills working with people and paperwork.
- Domestic and international shipping procedures and documentation knowledge a must.
- Familiarity with certified organic environment a plus.
- Warehouse design and layout functionality for maximizing space and efficiency.
- Total quality management training.
- Ability to multi-task when necessary.
- Degree in business management or related field a plus.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
